The Challenge
One of Australia’s largest manufacturers of bespoke heavy equipment had a very unique and complex product set. To continue to support their success in market and scale to meet growing demand, they needed a solution that ensured they were able to optimise their shopfloor tasks and activities.
The Solution
As a part of the full order to cash solution that was delivered to the customer, Clear Dynamics worked with the customer to identify all of their key tasks and consolidate down into a single data framework.
These tasks were mapped to their product catalogue and automated so that each order triggered specific tasks to be done with the next task only triggered when the prior task was completed.
As these tasks were from a core set of tasks, they could be consolidated for individual work queues. These queues were then prioritised for daily work stream by staff based on the availability of inventory, skills of the workers, and expected time to completion.
The daily prioritisation that was undertaken by the system automatically each day ensured work was done in the most efficient way possible with a reduction in wasted effort or jobs being forgotten about.
